Not the North Pole, but boy would that be nice right about now. Just saying!
Time for a property update. We are anxiously awaiting electric to be brought in. Sewer arrived a week ago, or so, and some poles showed up miraculously today! The problem we are having is the battle of who is responsible to remove some trees for them to bring the electric to the property line. Being that they are on someone else's property, you would Think it wouldn't be our responsibility. Town counsel meeting tomorrow will tell if Craig has to get on the agenda for the next one, or if they will honor the original agreement to take them down. Tomorrow Craig will go in and clear the trees he and a friend can clear. Then we wait...The guy who's laying gravel called while we were there and came down to survey the area. Very nice man! He and Craig had a nice chat while I sat in the a/c truck. he he. I Was taking pictures though. So here are some shots of the area and progress. Long way to go to the full vision, but it will be great.

One of the poles! Electric is on it's way.
Measuring from the sewer. Where he is standing is
where the cabin will go. I'm at the entrance of the driveway. Off to the
right will be the door and porch. To the left he will add on two
bedrooms.
Easement where the poles will come to the property.
More sewer...something...lol
Sewer. Driveway between that and the tree.
The road we are located on.
This is the back of the house, which was to the left
from the driveway. Two bedrooms will back to this with an area in
between for storage and the cistern should we haul in water.
View from the front of the porch. Behind him is Lake
Dammit, which was the original cabin location. The gentleman we met
today will bring in fill dirt for the 'Lake'. Nice making connections
for things you need around here. Eventually, a bigger home will go in
down that way Maybe a couple years...Also not far off is the RR. Ugh. I
foresee earplugs for sleeping in the near future.
This is in the back (Bedrooms/Storage/Cistern). Very pretty little area.
Close
up of the tree. We found what we thought was a nut (Picture below),
which had fallen from this beautiful tree. Picture below. It's a Hedge
Ball?
Hedge Ball
I'm standing where the cabin will go looking out to the driveway entrance.
I THINK this is off to the right entering the driveway. Will be all gravel and the camper set back in that area as well.
Me looking the best I have since I entered the sweaty cabin. LOL. Yep. As good as it gets for now. SOOOOO Excited to see the telephone poles.
Driveway to my left and this is looking down our road.
Down a bit is where the other entrance is when he was planning the
cabin to be where Lake Dammit now resides. Hence plan B.
Another view from the driveway where the cabin will go.
Again, down the road. Craig chatting it up with our stone man. STONE man, Not stoned man :)
