Though there was some doubt as to whether or not we'd ever make it here, it seems we have arrived. Pulled into Nevada (Nevayda as they say here) two days ago, which is only 20 minutes from Rich Hill. Since it was late and we had a full day ahead unloading and getting the BACHELOR ;) camper prepared for me and my things, we decided to spend one last night in a comfortable setting. Not that the man cave-camper isn't comfy...just a little...well...LITTLE. I was curious as his friends showed up to unload and I had a pile going of things to go to the camper, they were all asking him if I've actually seen the camper. No fear. I'll get it all in. And against all odds I did.
After a little more rearranging and a Tad more Cleaning
:) we took a nice drive. First we went to Butler, which is about 10
minutes up the road. Oh. And the speed limit is 70mph. Happy girl :)
Went to a really cool store run by Mennonites. I asked the young man at
the register if there was a movie theater around. He said there's one in
Nevada, but he doesn't go to movies. Sooo not sure on that, but will
find out soon.
Then Craig drove me around the country. It's all
farm land and silo's. I LOVE it! Most of the farms belong to the Amish. I
got to see a horse and buggy pull down a dirt road. That was pretty
cool! I saw a very old jail and world's largest coal scoop. "The Big
Mouth". Home of the Big Mouth, Rich Hill, Missouri. (Or Missoura as some
folks say). ![]() |
